 Research

Ph.D Title
·Temporal Evolution and Architecture of Submarine Channels

Outline
·Research project which will test and expand an existing model of classification of three-dimensional channel element depositional architecture in deep marine systems, and enumerate and describe styles of temporal (i.e. stratigraphic) change from one type of element to another. This will be placed within a framework of external controls (sea-level, climate, sediment supply…) and depositional processes. The study will utilise a combination of outcrop data and shallow 2D and 3D seismic data.
